My little girl is growing up!

I have been meaning to get Gretta out of the crib for a while, but it just hasn't seemed to happen. She started being able to climb out of it months ago, so I just lowered the rail so she could just climb in and out as she pleased. One of the reasons we hadn't moved her yet is that the only bed we had to move her to was a queen bed and I didn't want to have to make it everyday. Also last time we tried to have her sleep in a big bed she just climbed out of it and back into her crib. So we tried something new today... We switch my in-laws one of there twin beds for our the queen bed.
Eric was the work horse who borrowed a truck and preformed all of the manual labor. Gretta was so excited to sleep in it tonight and was especially excited because she knew it was Auntie Brittany's bed. We will see how it goes.

Griffith Park with Aunt Allison and Uncle Rod

The other weekend Eric was away at Malibu on a scout camp out, and I had to take Emily to the LAX to fly home. LAX is always a nightmare, but especially with two kids and a baby it would have been chaos. Plus I needed to help get Emily checked in and get her to her gate. Luckily Allison and Rod graciously agree to watch Gretta for the morning. Not only did they babysit her, but they took her to Griffith Park which she LOVED.
She looks so cute on the horse! I was about her age when my parents took me to Redfish lake horse back riding. My mom lied an told them that I was old enough to ride. I was like Gretta as a kid, really tall for my age. I fell asleep on the back of the horse with my pig tails bouncing up and down. Luckily they figured it out before I feel off, and my Dad got on with me. Well at Griffith park they will only let you ride the slow horses until you are 3+, and since Allison and Rod didn't lie Gretta had to ride a slow one. I guess she kept telling the horse to go faster. We will have to take her back sometime when she is a little older. I am glad she had such a great time.
They also took her on the train and the carousal. Gretta is so spoiled by all of her family.

4th of July at Lake Gregory

This post is a little late. I didn't take any pictures over the 4th of July weekend, so I was waiting for some from Allison and Rod. Thanks for the great pictures!!!
We went as whole family up to Lake Gregory for the 4th of July weekend. We had a wonderful time! It was fun to be up in the Mountains yet so close to home. It only took us about 1 1/2 hours to get there even with some traffic. Gretta especially enjoyed having everyone together at the "camping home" as she called it. Gretta wished we went tent camping, but I was really glad to stay in a cabin. Even if I had to take a cold shower one day. We blew out the pilot light. I was glad it was only a temporary problem, and that Eric was smart enough to figure out how to fix it.
Lake Gregory is a little man made lake that is only open from 10am until 5pm everyday. They won't let you put your own rafts etc on the lake, but they rent the red paddle boards you see in the pictures. We sure had a great time! Thanks Dennis and Linda.

Mormon Night at the Dodgers

Last Thursday night was Mormon Night at the Dodgers. Elder L. Tom Perry threw the first pitch and Elder William Reynolds (Who use to be Eric's Stake President)caught it. We sat with 45+people from our ward. Gretta loved going to the game with her friends. Also Eric's mom, Allison, Rod, and Brittany came. Gretta loves being surrounded by her family. We had a great time. Gretta loved her Dodger Dog, and cheering for the home team even if they didn't win. It was a fun night.

Update on Eliza

Eliza has really grown and changed over the last two weeks. She is eating like a champ once we found a bottle she likes. Of course it had to the expensive one from the Right Start Store, and not one you could buy at Target. Oh well. We are just so happy it was only a lack of food, and not a serious medical condition that was causing her not to gain weight. Here is the progression over the last two weeks. Doesn't she look so big sitting in the Bumbo chair.

Look Mom I need attention!

I gave Gretta some popcorn the other day and put her down in front of the TV, so I could TRY and get a few things done. Gretta had other ideas!!! Instead of getting anything else done I got help Gretta clean up the popcorn she dumped on the floor, so you could use the bowel for a hat. I have to admit she looks pretty cute, and we got a good laugh out of it. I guess I should get the clue she really wants more attention.
