Several weeks ago, I took the girls on a hike up to Monrovia Canyon with Grandma and Grandpa Fors. It was a perfect hike for our 3 year old, Gretta. Not too far, mostly flat terrain and a waterfall at the end as payoff! Gretta and Grandma navigating the treacherous terrain. Note the sheer cliffs to Grandma's left!!

Solo Disneyland Trip
They have changed the ride a little bit. It now has Disney characters hidden throughout the ride. Gretta got pretty excited to see Ariel, and Nemo. When I heard they had changed the ride I was a little worried, but it still pretty much looks the same just the same.

BYU Part Deux
For those of you that don't know yet, I was accepted to USC and UCLA's night MBA programs and BYU's full-time program. After much deliberation, prayer, "number crunching" and analysis paralysis, we have decided to go back up to Provo for full-time MBA school this Fall 2009.
We are excited about this new adventure for our family. Basically, it came down to several overriding factors:
1. I didn't think I or the family could handle three years of Daddy MIA while I went to work full-time and then to school two days of the week with projects, tests, field trips, etc eating up the remainder of my time. I wholeheartedly salute those who have gone before me and completed this program. Better men than I indeed.
2. The cost is substantially cheaper. BYU's tuition runs $20k for the two years. USC runs north of $90k for their night-time program. Granted, this isn't likely an apples ot apples cost comparison, but, I can assure you BYU will be much cheaper.
3. The family environment up there will make the experience enjoyable for me, Gretchen and our girls. There are tons of families and young kids up there for us to befriend.
4. BofA has said that barring the unexpected, which who knows what that is!!, would like to have me back at the end of the two years. Knowing there might be a place for me to hang my hat after B-School sealed the deal.
We'll see you in Provo!!

Eliza 11 months
Eliza is growin up so fast! I can't believe that she is almost one year old. Where has the time gone? She has some new tricks lately.
Eliza ...
1. weights about 23.4lbs on our scale at home. She weights the same as last month.
2. can now officially clap and point.
3. is getting close to taking her first steps.
4. can say uh-oh, mama, dada, baba, and words that sound awfully a lot like Gretta and Grandma
5. a great sleeper!!! However she likes the light off and Gretta likes the light on. 6. feeds herself peas, chicken, beans, bread, bananas, strawberries, and anything else you put in front of her.
7. gives great open mouth kisses.
8. loves to play with paper. She will crunch it, tear it and eat it.
9. has 4 top teeth and 4 bottom teeth.
10. Is very busy moving all around and banging her toys together.
We love you Eliza!
Love,
Mom, Dad & Gretta
