Good Bye Nana & Papa

We had to say good bye to my parents today. We were sad to see them go, but glad we will see them in a couple of weeks for my Dad's birthday. They helped me get the girls ready and load in the car for church. When we to off to church they took off to Boise. I only had to survive the three hours at church by myself until Eric came home. I barely made it. Luckily Eliza gets to go to nursery next week (yeah!!!) and hopefully Gretta will have the same primary teacher now for a while which should make church better. The good news is that Eric made it home without any problems, and we were so excited to see him.
We headed up to his Aunt Debbie's once he got home to help celebrate her birthday. We had a good time. Gretta especially likes her backyard. It has lots of fun toys like a trampoline and a big playset, and two dogs. Plus Leesa and Brittany were nice and played with her. One of Debbie's other nieces also had a 3 year old girl and Gretta enjoyed playing with her.
Thanks again Mom & Dad for coming!
Happy Birthday Debbie!!!

A Full day- Saturday October 10, 2009

My parents came to help this weekend because Eric is out of town at NSHMBA's
(National Society of Hispanic MBA's) in Minnesota. They arrived Thursday afternoon and watched my kids Thursday afternoon and all day Friday while I was at work. I don't have any pictures of what they did, but they had a ball! My mom painted pumpkin's with the kids,
made ghost suckers, played dolls, read stories, colored, play play doh, played outside
and just had a great time.

Today my dad helped me in the morning with some house projects. He fixed quite a few things and we got a lot of "to do" things done today. Yeah!!! We made changed the sheets on 3 beds, mop the floor, washed 4 loads of cloths, got the flat tire fix on the minivan that had 3 nails in it, primary service project, where Gretta washed window, took out trash, and pulled weeds. Dad weather striped the door, checked out the sprinkler system and shut it down for the winter, hung pictures, finished the tile corner of the floor, checked out the cellar, secured the toilets, fixed the washing machine from walking all over, got the car wash and all gassed up. After all of our hard work we when to CornBelly's at Thanksgiving point in the afternoon. We had such a great time Gretta didn't want to go home. Then we went to dinner at our good friends the Carrasco's house. It was a fun day!
Thank so much Mom & Dad for your help!!!

Provo City Fair & Random Happenings

Eliza has discovered Gretta's little key board. She loves to sit down at it and "play" away. I think that she the music bug. She loves to sing, hear music and make music. It is fun to see her play with the piano.

Today was the Provo City Safety Fair. We had a fun time seeing the city services. Someone from the dump was even there. Papa Jack would have liked that. They gave Gretta a little trash can. We also so the Police & Firemen. Most of the city services we represented. Gretta enjoyed the candy and prizes they gave out.

Thank you Nana & Grandma!

This week was a fun week for packages. We all like getting packages, but Gretta especially loves it. In South Pasadena the mailman would leave them right on our apartment doorstep. It was so fun to have the elevator door open and see a package on our doorstep. In Provo it is just as much fun to see that package on the doorstep. Who doesn't love a surprise package? The first package came from Nana Carolyn. She sent Eliza a baby swing for the backyard. I thought Eric was going to put in on the swing set, but I guess he figured it would work better on our tree.
Eliza usually likes the swing, so I am not sure what happened today. And if she doesn't Gretta really does.
Thanks Nana! We can't wait to see you this week.

The second package had a book for Gretta from Grandma Linda. She sent Gretta, "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day."

Gretta even want to take a picture of me reading it to her. Thanks Grandma Linda!!!!

Alpine Loop

Today after the morning session of Conference we decided to drive the Alpine Loop. Neither Eric or I had ever done it before. The fall leaves are just beautiful right now. Provo Canyon is very beautiful too. These picture don't do the mountains justice. We had a nice time enjoying the view.
