Teresa is good at hair. Alanna's hair always looks super cute! Sometimes she does the girls hair too.

Putting Carli to Work

Carli wanted to get in on the foot massage action. I think she just really likes lotion. She is such a cute little helper. She has such a darling personality. 

Nursery at Church

Carli has enjoyed going to Nursery at Church here in Sao Paulo. Doesn't she look cute at the snack table. She is growing up! She loves to be a "big" kid. 

Looking Great

Gretta has been telling me she can't stay on the line while reading. It's difficult to get her to read chapter books. She will do Raz Reading and seems to be able to read okay, but hasn't fallen in love with it. 

I figured I better get her eyes checked. The diagnosis was that she could use reading glasses. It's now a super strong prescription, but hopefully it helps her want to read me. 

Eric took her to get her glass this morning. She was pretty excited!!!

Doesn't she look cute and all grown up. 

Foot Massages by Eliza and Carli

My poor ankles are super swollen!!! It's been really hot, so hot that I haven't been wearing my compression stockings because they are so hot and all that was happening is my ankles were doing better, but my feet would still swell. 

Eliza has decided to open a food massage clinic. She loves to offer me a foot massage and of course I am not going to turn that offer down. Carli has been watching and she want's to be like her big sister so somethings she get into the mix too. I think Carli just likes the lotion. 

I am so grateful for my great kids Gretta, Eliza and Carli.

Teaching Independance

Eliza has been having anxiety when we leave her home with Teresa or when ever she is separated from me. I had to go to a doctors appointment, so Eric taught her how to use the phone to call Eric's cell phone. It was empowering for Eliza to know she could call Eric.

Polar Vortex 2014

While we were enjoying nice warm days here in Sao Paulo our friend back at home were not so lucky. St. Joseph experienced the "Polar Vortex" of 2014. School was cancelled from Monday- Wednesday and most people were house bound. They told people to only go out if necessary and I know from my neighbors facebook posts our neighborhood didn't get plowed until Wednesday which made it impossible to get out. The property management guy got stuck on Tuesday trying to get to our house. 

He finally made it on Wednesday. Here are the pictures he took. There was some problem with the heat that he fixed. I guess the house was down to 40 degrees. 

Looks cold and snowy to me. The girls are concerned we aren't going to make it back in time for any winter and I am afraid we are coming back to early and are going to have to live through part of a rough winter. 

Everyone we know says it's been the worst winter they have ever lived though in Michigan. I am just glad we got to spend part of in here in Sao Paulo.
