Who said diamonds are a girls best friend??? If you ask Gretta I am sure she will say it is ice cream.
Gretta and I just got back from a quick trip to Idaho to visit Nana and Papa Jack, and Grandma and Grandpa Huff. We had a great time. On Friday night we cruised down to the local Fancy Freeze Drive-Thru and bought Gretta her own baby cone. She ate the WHOLE thing by herself!!! She loves Idaho because she gets SPOILED!!!
I think that Nana= everything good in Gretta's vocabulary.

Growing up fast!
Gretta is turning into such a big girl. She loves to open drawers and see what she can find inside. Today she pulled out her Hawaiian grass skirt. I had a hard time taking her picture in it because she kept moving fast thinking I was going to try and take it off of her.
She seems to be getting better. The Dr gave her a clean bill of health today:)

Pneumonia :(
Pneumonia!!!
Little Gretta has viral pneumonia. She can’t say pneumonia, and I can barely spell it correctly! Poor Gretta it is so sad!!! The poor kid has been sick for a while. She just has runny nose she just can’t seem to get rid of. I kept blaming it on teething, but finally I headed a motherly sixth sense that something wasn’t right. We went in last week and they gave her an antibiotic which I faithfully gave her for 6 days until she broke out in a rash. (She the pictures for details.) So we went back in to the doctor yesterday and they had us get a chest x-ray. It turns out that it is viral pneumonia. The good news is that we know what it is, but the bad news we still just have to wait it out.
She is still a very happy camper and hasn’t let the whole thing get her down. She still seems to have plenty of energy and is all smiles. What a great kid! I love her!

A day at the park!!!
Our adventures today included a quick trip to the park. Gretta had a great time except for a few moments of crying. She tripped while trying to run to fast and got a little scared coming down the BIG slide. She has no fear.
Enjoy the pictures! Gretta's personality is shining through more and more everyday. She loves to play, talk, and get people to smile back at her. She loves to say "Hi" to every stranger we meet.

The Dare Devil!!!
Gretta loves speed! She loves fast walks in her stroller and feeling the wind in her face. This was elevated to new heights Easter event. She saw the big electric swing and really wanted to go for a ride. She even talked some of her friends in to going on it with her. It didn't take long before she was the only one her age left on the swing. She enjoyed the whole 3 minute ride. See the video for details.

Easter 2007
Easter 2007...We had a great Easter. Easter weekend started off with an Easter egg hunt at the park with some of her friends. We practiced on Friday at home and Gretta seemed to get the concept of picking up eggs and then checking to see what was in side. She quickly realized that chocolate is oh so good!!! However, at the Easter egg hunt on Saturday I think she was a little overwhelmed with being is such a big group of kids, so she wasn't so excited about the hunt. In fact she kept telling Eric no when he tried to pick up eggs for her. Oh well. She did get a few fun toys inside the eggs. She also meet the Easter bunny. She seemed to like the Easter bunny more than Santa Clause, but not much more. Her favorite was the swing.
Sunday Gretta loved getting dressed up in her pretty pink dress. She was the bell of the ball.
