Thanksgiving Point with the Burts

This morning we went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point and then to Ikea for lunch with the Burt's. Peter is in Gretta's primary class and they also go to speech together. She was really excited. We had a fun time. I am sad I didn't get any more pictures.
Thanks for inviting us!!!
Ps. I am still debating getting a pass. Eliza might be getting one for her 2nd birthday. There are a lot of fun things to do at Thanksgiving point.

Grandma Linda's Visit

Linda came to visit Sunday night to Wed night this week. We sure had a fun time. She watched the girls while I worked on Monday and Tuesday. The girls loved having Linda watch them. When ever we have had babysitting problems here in Utah Gretta ask why Grandma just can't watch them. She loved going to Grandma's on Tuesday in California.

We also enjoyed having FHE wih the whole Provo Fors' Clan, Brittany, Darron and Allison Romero. Wednesday we also went to the Pendulum Court with the whole gang. It was a fun filled trip.
Tuesday night Eric flew to San Jose for the Tech Trip with the MBA recruiters.

Grandma brought them a new game. They sure love to "go fishing". Eliza wants to turn it off and on and Gretta wants to organize the fish by color families.

Linda's friend Trisha came over to visit while she was babysitting.

Making small snowmen.

Aunt Debbie also came for a visit.

Where is Gretta???

While my dad was here we noticed that Gretta wasn't in her bed after we put her to sleep. We looked all over the house. I was begging to panic that somehow she got outside because we couldn't find her any where.
We finally found her asleep under my bed. She was all the way under my bed. I dragged her out and put her back in her bed. The amazing thing is she didn't even wake up when I was dragging her out. Once she is out she is out.
Just glad we found her inside of the house.

Thanks Pops!!!

While Eric was in Minnesota my dad came. He played golf the first part of the week in Nevada, and then drove up to Provo on Thursday. Thursday night he took them to Panda Express which is Gretta's favorite place to eat out.
Then on Friday my babysitter's mom was in town, so my dad graciously agreed to watch the girls while I worked on Friday.
The girls had a great time!!! They love Pops! He spoiled them rotten. First he took them to McDonald's for breakfast. Then he took them to story time at the Library. He actually ran into my mom's cousin and her daughter and grand kids. Then he bought them pizza for lunch. While Eliza napped the afternoon babysitter came over, and Dad took Gretta ice skating. They had a great time. Gretta has made a lot of progress in a week of lessons. She loves that Dad can skate backwards. Then he took her to the Dinosaur Museum.
For dinner we had spaghetti and meat balls and then headed off to the BYU Men's Volleyball game. Gretta and Eliza were so excited to wear their cheerleader outfits.
The first thing Gretta asked Pops was to buy her popcorn. Once again he spoiled her. They loved seeing Cosmo, but volleyball wasn't as exciting for them as basketball. I think it is because the cheerleaders don't come to the volleyball games. We still had a good time.
Saturday morning we took Gretta to another ice skating lesson and then Pops took us to In-N-Out. Then we took him to the airport. We dropped him off and then waited 30mins and picked up Eric. It was perfect timing. Once we picked up Eric we went to Discovery Gateway and dinner and home. It was a great weekend! Thanks Pops for coming we really enjoyed your visit. I know that the girls loved having you visit and spoiling them rotten.
Pops won over Eliza. She wanted him to hold her while she drank her bottle instead of me.

Thanks Pops!!!!

Target update

Eric had a great fly out, and he said it went as well as he could have hoped for. It is now in Target's court, so we will see what happens. They said we would know in 5-10 business days.
We will keep you updated.

***Just an update. On a sad note Eric didn't get an offer from Target. We are all a little sad because it was going to be fun to spend the summer in MN close to Anna, Gabe & Jackson with Allison & Rod there too. But it must not have been meant to be. We know something good will work out for this summer.

Pink Eye Comes to Our House

Monday night I noticed both the girls eyes were weeping puss. Gross!!! I had some erythromycin eye drops and ointment, so I put a dose in before they went to bed. I was convinced when we woke up they would be all better. Boy was I wrong!!! Eliza woke up with her eyes swollen shut, peri-orbital cellulite's, and more puss. Gretta only had one eye who that was swollen and pussy, but she didn't look that great either.
So off to the Health Center we went. Polly Sheffield took a quick look and
said , "WOW." She was pretty concerned about Eliza's peri-orbital cellulitis. She started both Gretta and Eliza on antibiotics, and then was sweet enough to call more the next morning to make sure she was okay.
In the mean time we spent a lot of time at home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The good news is they got better. Yeah!!!

This picture doesn't even do it justice.

Martin Luther King Day

It was so much fun to have a little extra time with Eric today. He took Gretta to free skate at the ice rink. They had a great time on their dad-daughter date! If we are moving to Minnesota the whole family better get better at ice skating.

Then we went to dinner and FHE at the Billeter's house. Robyn made a great dinner and Gretta and Eliza love playing with Abby.
We played a special game for FHE. It was Jeopardy all about Target and Minnesota to get ready for his up coming fly out.
Did you know that the bullseye is 97% recognizable as the Target logo. More so than the Nike "swish", or that the Common Honker is the MN state bird?
We had a great time!
Go Eric!

Having some fun in the Crib Tent!!!

We had Darron and Allison over for dinner yesterday. All of a sudden I realized that Gretta was missing and it was too quite. I went to her room to see what she was up to and this is what I found... Dad had put her in the crib tent. Luckily she didn't seem to mind. (I don't know if you can tell from the picture or not, but she was jumping up and down and using Eliza's crib like a trampoline.) I saved them.

"State of Hockey" here we come!

I have been feeling like we need to do some "winter activities" since there is snow on the ground. I thought about signing Gretta up for skiing lessons, but it was expensive and she wasn't that excited. A friend recommended ice skating lessons. We live really close to the ice skating rink and the price was right, so I signed her up. Saturday was her first lesson. She really liked it and was sad to get off of the ice.
Eric took her today and they had a good time too. This week Eric has is fly back interview with Target in Minnesota, also known as "State of Hockey". Maybe Gretta will grow up to be a Hockey player someday. Wish Eric luck!

Go Cougars!!!

Saturday afternoon we took the girls to the BYU vs Colorado State game which the Cougars won 91 to 47. Go Cougars!!!
Gretta was super excited to wear her new BYU cheerleader outfit she got from Grandma & Grandpa Fors for Christmas. Here she is before the game practicing. Her Y and U for BYU.
The Marriott Center was almost filled which was a pretty spectacular sight. We sat by some of our MBA friends and had a great time.
After the game we headed up to Midway for a fun dinner with our friends Scott and Jamie Smith. It was a fun Saturday!

Dancing Queen

Gretta got herself dressed for her dance class today. This is what she left the house in. Got to love it! Dancing Queen!
Thanks Nana for the new TuTu.

This is just a random photo of them drinking their milk before bed.
