Gretta's Soccer Team Picture

What a cute bunch of 3 & 4 year olds.
Gretta was really sad she didn't get to stand in the front and hold the ball. I explained that tall kids have to stand in the back.

Thanks Nana!

My mom bought the girls some cute cloths for fall. She gave them to us when she was in Park City. This outfit is particularly cute. It makes Eliza look older than she is except for that binky.
Thanks Nana!!!

More Fun with Pops and the Primary Program

Mom had to go home on Saturday morning, but Pops stayed around. He and Eric went golfing on Saturday and then we all went to the BYU vs Nevada football game. The game was kind of a bust. I am a little worried about BYU Football. It might be a losing season if we can't get it together. There were empty seats in the stadium. I don't remember the last time we went to a game with empty seats. Then Pops took us to Chinese food again. Gretta was in heaven! She LOVE Chinese food.Saturday night after the girls were a sleep he stayed with them so Eric and I could go out. Thanks Dad!

The best part of the football game was the cotton candy Pops bought Gretta!

Sunday he stayed to watch the Primary Program. Gretta was scared in the morning and didn't even want to go to church. Luckily she got over her stage fright and did a great job. All of the children did a great job. It was a wonderful program.
Thanks Mom & Dad for coming to visit us. We sure had a fun time.

New dresses from Nana. Don't they look cute!

Olympic Park- Park City

We stopped by Olympic Park on the way home. It was pretty cool. Someday I want to take a bobsled ride there. We had a good time looking around quickly.
It was such a beautiful day!
They go down the ski jump and then land in the water. It was really cool to watch.

Gretta was excited that some little kids were doing it. Maybe she is destine to be a ski jumper.

Another fun Park City place. We need to go back when we have more time.

Fun at Hogel Zoo with Nana & Pops

The girls couldn't agree on what ride to get. Gretta wanted the wagon and Eliza the stroller, so nice Pops got both. Nana even hitched a ride. Lots of other moms were jealous!

Eliza didn't want her picture taken, so she covered her face.
The Elephants were a big hit. The mommy elephant was a favorite!

It is hard to see baby Zuri. She is hiding behind her mom. She weight 251 lbs at birth. Now that is a BIG baby! She is just over a year old now.

Then we got up close and personal with the giraffe. They are such amazing creatures.

Gretta had to take some pictures of her own.

The Carousel. Both girls rode the elephant.

Before the carousel we went to the bird show. It was amazing! I didn't get any pictures, but the birds flew right over our heads. It was a great show.

The gorilla was laying right by the window. My dad covered his face with this arm and then then gorilla did it too.
We finished off our day with a train ride. What a fun time! Thanks Nana & Pops!

NBMBAA

Eric, Matt Cowen, Jeremy Resse, Mike Beheshti, Rick Swenson.
Eric flew down to LA for the National Black MBA Association Career Fair at the LA Convention Center this week. I am so proud of him!!! He had 10 job interviews at the Conference. He interview with Walmart, Dell, Campbell Soup, Mars, American Airlines, East West Bank, Target, Chrysler, General Mills, and Frito Lay.
In two weeks he will know if he will get any fly back interview with those companies.
It is so nice to have an offer from Whirlpool that we are highly concerning.  It makes the job hunting process much less stressful. Maybe something even better will turn up. You never know.
Way to go Eric!!!

Stories with Pops

We were so happy that with Eric at NBMBAA that Papa Jack would come visit us. He showed up a day before Nana and we we so excited for his visit.
More pictures from his visit to come later.

Gretta's first soccer game and last day of soccer

Gretta enjoyed soccer this year. It was a REALLY short season, but still she had a lot of fun. At her last practice they broke into two teams and played their first game. They played 4 on 4. Her team won 2- 1. I was proud of her for at least going after the ball. She was pretty good at getting it down the field, but turning and making a goal was a little bit harder.
Here are some pictures from the last day. Thanks Pops for joining us too!.
Getting ready for a corner kick.

Crafting Fun

Gretta & Eliza helped me make two file folder games for church from the Finch Family Games book.
Gretta is good help at cutting things out. We sure had a fun time. They are so excited to take them to church this week.

Good bye old tree

Monday Tom Busby, our landlord, showed up with his sons to cut down the big tree in front of our house. It dying. I thought they were going to just cut off the dead limbs, but they cut down the whole tree. The girls were really sad to see the swing go.
Here they are watching form the window.

Timber...

Luckily the one tree in the back yard gets to stay a little bit longer.

Eliza's First Day of Preschool

Eliza has been begging to go to Preschool. I found out about a preschool that a whole bunch of our friends from MBA school send their kids to. It is an in home preschool and is only 1 hour on Mon & Wed, so I signed Eliza up. She has been so excited to go to her own preschool with her teacher Miss Michelle. She is very independent really wanted her "OWN" activity.
This morning was her first day. I was a little worried how she would do considering she cried for the first 20 mins of nursery at church yesterday, but she did great. She was so excited!!!
Here she is all ready to go.
Gretta had to get in on the action too.

At the door of her preschool all ready to go.
When did she grow up?

Graudate Students BBQ

Friday night we went to the Graduate Student BBQ on Campus. We thought Cosmo was going to make an appearance, but we left before he did which made the girls sad.
It was still fun.
After the dinner Chelsey Kelley watched the girls and Eric and I went to a great talk by Ron McMullin about Crucial Conversations. It was a fundraiser for United Way and really great.

Thanksgiving Point Farm with Breanne & David

We went to Thanksgiving Point with Breanne & David Fos today. We had a great time. I had to pay $1.50 more for both myself and Gretta than $2 Tuesdays,  we didn't even have to wait in line to ride the ponies. Yeah!!!
Eliza really liked her horse ride.
Gretta is an old pro at pony rides.
David had fun too!

There favorite activity was feeding the ducks.
(Eliza wouldn't sit next to Gretta for me to take this pictures.)
Can't you tell they are related.

A life behind bars.

It was sure a fun day! Thanks Breanne & David. We are going to have to do it again soon.
