Budding artist

Everyday when I pick Gretta up at preschool she has a pile of her art work. She loves to paint and draw. Here are some of her resent renderings.

Ward Talent Show

Gretta and her posse of friends did the "Chicken Dance" at our Ward Talent Show a couple of weeks ago. They love to get dressed up in their tutus and dance slippers and twirl around the stage. Mark my words, you'll see at least one of these girls as either an American Idol contestant, an MDT major at BYU or starring on Broadway. Just you wait. Gretta sure does enjoy having her girlfriends around.

Saturday at Griffith Park

A couple of Saturday's ago, EGGE went with Grandma and Grandpa Fors to Griffith Park to check out the horsies and the train.

I had done this many moons ago when I was a kid. So this was truly a walk down memory lane!!

Sleeping where???

The other night Eric and I were still eating dinner at the table, Gretta had excused her self earlier. We looked over and this is what we found. I guess she was tired. As a side note she picked out this outfit herself.

"I am the mom"

One of Gretta's favorite pretend play games is for her to be the "mom" and for me to be the "big sister". She loves to hold my purse, open the door, tell Eliza and me what to do, and just be the boss. I am hoping this is a phase that will pass.

The other day she wanted to push Eliza around in the stroller. I decided it would be okay if I was close. She had a great time. Eliza seemed to not mind either.
Isn't Eliza a cute baby?

Isn't Gretta a cute "mom".

This picture is from June 2008. Look how much they have grown!

The next American Idol

The other night Gretta and Eliza were having a singing contest at our house. Gretta would sing into the microphone and then Eliza would try and imitate her. It was pretty cute.
Who would you vote the next American Idol??
Eliza or Gretta?

Chuck E Cheese

We went to Chuck E Cheese today to celebrate Gretta staying dry for 3 days. The kid gets to go to Disneyland at least every month, and she begs me to go to Chuck E Cheese. Go figure??? I think it is because at the start of every show on PBS they show an ad for Chuck E Cheese. She wanted to go so bad she started asking Heavenly Father in her prayers, "Please bless me that Mommy can take me to Chuck E Cheese."
Well I used this to my advantage and told her if she would stay dry for three days we could go. It worked!!! Yeah! It was fun to go to Chuck E Cheese and we are well on our way to being fully potty trained and a big kid! Way to go Gretta! It was a well earned reward.

Hiking the Monrovia Canyon Park Trail with Grandma & Grandpa

Several weeks ago, I took the girls on a hike up to Monrovia Canyon with Grandma and Grandpa Fors. It was a perfect hike for our 3 year old, Gretta. Not too far, mostly flat terrain and a waterfall at the end as payoff!

Gretta and Grandma navigating the treacherous terrain. Note the sheer cliffs to Grandma's left!!

45 degree incline. Not for the faint of heart!!

Gretta lovin' every minute of it!!
