Gretta's Trip to Walmart with Nana

During our trip to visit Aunt Anna Gretta had tons of fun!!! One of the highlights was a trip to Walmart where Nana bought her Tinkerbell sunglasses and a big purple ball. She loves smiling big and showing everyone how cute she is with her sunglasses.

Stickler Conference

This is a picture of me with Dr. Gunner Stickler of the Mayo Clinic.

This last weekend I attended the Annual Stickler Convention. This year it was held at the Mayo Clinic. It was excellent and I enjoyed learning more about Stickler Syndrome.

Stickler syndrome is a connective tissue disorder, a genetic malfunction in the tissue that connects bones, eyes, and ears. This disorder is associated with problems of vision, hearing, bone and joint, facial and cleft palate.

Boating Baby!!!

We had a great time in Boise at Lucky Peak boating with Captain Jack! Even Gretta made her first boating debut. She will do anything with her blankie. So with the blankie in hand she had a great ride. I think next year she will be ready for the wakeboard.

We went home to Boise for the 4th of July. As it turned out Grandma Gretta fell and hurt her right hip/leg while we were on the airplane coming to Boise and sent the whole trip in the Hospital. She was discharged today to a rehab hospital and we went to say good bye before we left for LA today. The first picture is of all the girls. You can see how much Grandma Gretta loves little Gretta in the picture. She just lights up when little Gretta comes to visit. Little Gretta was also intent on pushing Grandma around in her wheel chair. Pretty soon she will be big enough to do it. We wish Grandma Gretta the best as she gets better and gets over her injury.

Remembering Vincent Au

One of my dearest Hong Kong friends, Vincent Au, died in a drowning accident in Bass Lake on Saturday June 16th. Vincent will be dearly missed.
I first met Vincent in the MTC when we were preparing to go to Hong Kong on our missions.
The link is to a video that his brother made as a memorial to him, and the other link is to his photo gallery.
