Preschool family night at the kids's museam

Tonight was preschool night at the Kid's Museum in town. Eliza was so excited for us to attend. Everyone in her class did a self portrait to be put on the wall. Can you see her's??? I am pretty impressed with how well she can write her name compared to her other class mates. I know she is really smart!!! We had a good time and she sure enjoyed seeing her friends outside of school.

Carli's newborn pictures

Here are a few of Carli's pictures.

Thanks Linda!!!

We were so lucky to have both Nana Carolyn and Grandma Linda have come to help since Carli was born. Linda helped with the girls, took great
care of us, helped throw Eliza a
Birthday party, and also did lots of house projects. Thanks for making sure you left us with a full pantry too. Thank you so much for coming! Monday is my first day all by myself. Let's hope it goes okay:)

Eliza's birthday present

Eliza got this trampoline for her birthday. Both girls have been having so much fun jumping already.

Carli's first walk

We enjoyed a family walk in the beautiful spring weather.

Hanging around

The girls made a rocket ship on Eliza's birthday. Plus we the girls enjoyed hanging out with Carli.

Gretta and Eliza's bedroom

Grandma Linda has been busy doing house projects. The girls have been begging us to paint their room pink and purple. Linda was nice enough to painted it for them.

Carli finally coming home

After a long time waiting for Dr Mann to shoe up he finally came Tuesday at 6:30. He didn't think at this time she needed a tongue lip adhesion to keep her airway open so he gave us the go ahead to take her home. The only thing is he wanted us to have and O2 monitor instead of an apnea monitor so we had to wait for one to get delivered. Eric ran back to check us out of the Ronald McDonald house and I got all of carli's stuff ready. We were finally ready to leave around 10:00pm. Our favorite nurse, Ann, was there to walk us out. It felt so good to be going home after 14 days.
Carli however didn't really like her first trip in her carseat but we made it home. Yeah!!!

Eliza's birthday party

We had so much fun celebrating Eliza's birthday with some of her friends. She wanted a princess party. We had a princes processional, piƱata, played pin the heart on the princess and did a craft. Eric brought home pizza for lunch. A good time was had by all.
Happy birthday Eliza!!! We love you!

Easter 2012

Eric and I left Carli in the hands of the good nurses at the NICU and went home for Easter Sunday. It was a beautiful day and it was nice to spend it at home. We also enjoyed having Nana with us. Don't the girls look beautiful in the new Easter Dresses Nana bought.

MBA fun

Today, we had the opportunity to go meet up with our Michigander MBA friends - the Christensens, Conrans and Vachs. I guess it is one blessing of Carli's long stay in the NICU in Grand Rapids. The Vach's and Conran's live in Grand Rapids. Lori was nice enough to invite everyone over to her house last minute. We sure had a good time.
You can see here all the children of each of these families sitting around eating their food together. We're not sure it's appropriate, but, we'd certainly entertain the idea of an arranged marriage with Andrew Christensen. We'll be in touch!
