Anna's shoes

The Gretta's seem to love shoes!!! The picture on the right was taken last Christmas as Grandma Gretta tried on Anna's new shoes. The picture on the left was taken during Aunt Anna's last visit to us in California little Gretta tried on the shoes too. Seems like Great-Grandmother like Great-Granddaughter.

I am a big kid now!

This morning Gretta got my sandals from by the door and decided to wear them around the house. She made a whole lap around the kitchen. I was pretty impressed that she could walk in them at all. She already loves shoes!!!

Gretta and her friends!

Gretta is entranced with the TV as she sits on the couch during my birthday party. Gretta is joined by Ryan in the red and Adley on the right.

Happy 30th Birthday!!!

Can you believe it? I turned 30! This is the beginning of the end I fear as my youth is slipping away day by day. Eric threw a big birthday party for me complete with family and friends. My mom and sister even came from far away places to help us celebrate. It was a festive occasion.

Who's your daddy?

Well, they said it couldn't be done. Low and behold, Eric has become a blogger. I just wanted to set the record straight that I was not still in the stone age, when it comes to technology (more like
the Bronze or Golden Age. So the reason you see Gretta standing on one of her toys is because, frankly, Gretchen and I aren't good parents. We leave this kid alone for 4.3 seconds and she can climb anything within eye range. The other day I was sitting at the kitchen table and she decided she wanted to scale Mt. Emergency Preparedness Stuff behind our sofa. She might be rock climber someday.

Also, the reason I'm in a shirt and tie is because I had to take a picture to send to BYU for a Recruiting Summit they are having the beginning of June. I kind of spearheaded the recruiting efforts for Bank of America at BYU (spearheaded implies support, whereas in actuality, I'm alone on this one). My superiors tell me that if I bring any qualified candidates back then they'll look at them. But they don't want to have to put the sweat equity in to find these people.

Life here in South Pas is pretty good. We live close by to many things and we enjoy all the amenities that CA offers, including, unfortunately, the high Real Estate prices. Well, that's about it from this end.

Gretchen's birthday is next week. George W has said he and Laura could come. So that means Pope Benedict won't have a spot. You might call it the party of the century as far as parties go.

Food is way more fun to play with than eat!!!

This picture was taken my Eric after he feed Gretta dinner. He forgot the bib:(
Gretta is still trying to master the art of feeding herself. Don't get me wrong. She really wants to feed herself she just doesn't quite understand all of the laws of physics yet. So sometime after managing to get a large amount of food on the spoon it is turned upside down on the way to her mouth and she can't figure out why she didn't get much. Sometimes after a few attempts with the spoon she just gives up and goes back to her finders, and then when she has had enough if we don't get the food away from her quick enough it usually ends up to be a royal mess!!! I guess that is why kids and cloths are washable. :)

Daddy Babysitting!

On Saturday May 5th Eric watched Gretta. He is teaching Gretta at a young age to appreciate sports. When I arrived home the sport of choice was baseball. Go Dodgers!!!

Gretta with Great Grandpa Huff

This is a picture from our trip to Boise. Gretta was too excited to play with the eggs rather than look at the camera. Gretta had a great time visiting everyone in Boise and loves her Grandparents and Great Grandparents.

A little girl after her Papa Jack's Heart

A few weeks ago I took Gretta to the library and book she picked out was, "Big Yellow Trucks and Diggers". I think she just wanted to win her Papa Jack's heart over. I caught her reading the book this morning. Enjoy!!!

This posting is for my mom. Here are the beautiful flowers you sent to me. They are just gorgeous.

Thanks!

Walking around

Little Gretta loves to walk around and push things in the process. At home she loves to push around her baby stroller. While in Idaho she found her Great Grandmothers walker and wanted to take it for a spin too. Papa Jack helped her out a little bit.

Who needs toys!!!

Little Gretta is courious. She wants to open all drawers, cupboards and see what she can find inside to play with. Who needs toys when you have a whole house a new objects to look at and play with. On our recent trip to Idaho she found this yellow strainer in her Great Grandpa's kitchen. She has so much fun wearing it as a hat. She even got her Great Grandmother Gretta to give it a try. Check out the Gretta's!
