Trick or Treating

Our next door neighbor took all of the kids around trick or treating on trailer behind a tractor. I think the kids favorite part might have been the hay ride. At one point Eliza told me she had enough candy and was just going to stay on the hay ride.
Here we are already to go.

Poor Eric didn't make it home until 6:45 tonight because he was waiting on accounting to finish up something he needed done today being the last day of the month.
When he left work the parking lot looked like this....

Luckily he made if for the last party of trick or treating and the party after. The only sad thing was no one was at our house to hand out candy all night.

Gretta's School Halloween Party

Gretta had a great time at her Halloween Party at school today.

Here she is with her pumpkin.

Gretta's New Coat

Gretta was so excited to wear her new coat to school today. It is water proof and wind proof and it suppose to be warm down to -15.
Lets hope it doesn't  get that cold!

Daddy Daughter Date

While I went with Gretta to her Camporee Eric took Eliza on a Daddy Daughter Date. He took her to the beach and they rode the Carousel. Lucky girl!
Then they went to the Kids' Museum.

Then to the Ward Trunk or Treat. The Trunk or Treat had a great turn out. They also had hayrides and dinner. It was a fun event.
Eliza and Eric both had a great time!

Daisy Scout Fall Day Camporee- part 1

Gretta had such a fun time at her first Girls Scout Camporee. The daisy's weren't lucky enough to get to spend the night, but they still had a lot of fun.
The weather was beautiful and we all had a good time. The camp was at a Boy Scout Camp about 10 miles away from our house right on Lake Chapin. It was a beautiful fall day.

Dinner. This kid loves peaches!!!
What a great day! I was really proud of Gretta. Her one really good friend in the Daisy Troop wasn't able to go, and most of the girls were in first grade. She did a great job making new friends and being nice to everyone.

Gretta's leader day

Today at Kindergarten Gretta was the leader. She was so excited to take show and tell and also the snack. She asked to take Apple bread for her snack, and Linda was nice enough to bring 3 box's of Apple Bread mix from Trader Joe's when she came to visit.
Thanks Linda!
Gretta had a great day and said her classmates loved the snack!

Announcing Baby #3

Baby #3 due 4/3/12

We are so excited and so are the girls!

The almost flood..

See the water filling the bucket.
It has rain approximately 1.7 inches yesterday and today which equals about 3.4 inches of rain in 48 hours. Idaho, Utah and California only get about 10 inches of rain a year, so we are feeling a little water logged, and so is the yard. There is just water everywhere!!! Today while I was down stairs with the girls I noticed one of the window wells had quite a bit of water in it, but it seemed to be draining. Then we left for the afternoon and when we came back not only was there still water in the well, but water was gushing in from the left side. It looked like it was going to go over the window well. I was in a panic. I called Eric at work, borrowed a bucket and started to try and get some of the water out. Then Eric came home and saved the day by digging out the drain. So crisis averted.
The bad news is that it is suppose to rain all day tomorrow too.
I am just glad we are renting because this house has some water problems!

The drain! Yeah!!!

Puppet show

Yesterday I woke up to the noise of Gretta dragging the step ladder to the basement. Eric was down there on the treadmill and Gretta wanted to set up her puppet show.
The girls put on a puppet show all morning it was so much fun! We love our basement!

I am sad this picture is so fuzzy and that this was all I got.

Sister He's visit day #2

Jian He with Eliza, Gretta and Eric
My girls love her. I can't believe how fast Eliza too to her. Usually she is shy, but Eliza just loved Sister He.
Friday morning we went down to the beach and rode the carousel and went to the kids museum.

I just love going to the Carousel.

Sister He

Jian He was my 3rd companion on my mission. I served with her in Macau for about 4 months. We had a great time together as companions. She served her mission when she was 49, so she only served 13 months. I didn't know that originally she was only suppose to serve 12 months and then extended another month. I didn't know that she only served 13 months until this trip. I feel so grateful I got to spend almost all 1/3 of her mission with her. She is a joy to be around.
I picked her on the 12th in the afternoon and we went straight to the Chicago Temple.
Then we went home to St. Joseph.
Thursday we had lunch with Eric and then Eliza we went to the Kids' Museum.
Then Jian showed us all how to make dumplings.

We had a great dinner and enjoyed Jian's company!
