Carli 7 months

Where has the last 7 months gone!!! I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. Carli has lots of new tricks. We love you very, very much! We are so happy you are part of our family. We love you Carli!

Here are some of the things that Carli can do now:

Sit by myself

Love looking at books. I try and turn pages for my mom or dad when they read to me.

Transfer an object back and forth from both hands.

Roll from front to back and back to front.

Bang items together. 

Love to smile at other especially when they smile at me.

Loves to play peak a boo and sing songs together. 

Love Music

Try to watch TV with my sisters. I am not sure where this love of TV watching comes from?!?!

Rake cheerios to try and pick them up.

Jump for hours in my Jumperoo. 

Make high pitched squealing sounds to show happiness.

Carli is still having a hard time eating solid foods. 

Carli is not making  enough sounds. Carli had her first ear infection and round of antibiotics  She didn't like the taste of the antibiotics much or the bad diarrhea and diaper rash either. She goes to see the ENT next week to see what he has to say about her hearing.  She failed her  6 month hearing test. 

The Parents at Teacher Educator Tami came to Carli and she scored off the chart in Gross Motor Skills, Fine Motor Skills, Problem Solving, but struggled in Communication and Personal-Social. The nice lady from Early On came to visit too and is sending the Speech Therapist to see if she can help Carli with her sounds and eating. 

Carli is still a great sleeper and loves to be loved and play with her family. 

She was more interested in playing with the paper instead of getting her picture taken.

Flood clean up

The owners called Haven Scent to help come dry up the flood. First they pulled up all of the carpet bags. Then they set up dryers and dehumidifiers. Here is what it looked like. It took 3 days to dry everything out. .

Halloween Fun

We were invited to a fun Halloween Party. I didn't do a good job of getting pictures of everyone all dressed up. Eric was in Utah recruiting. Gretta participated in one of the games. We all had a fun time!

Look at all the cool things Carli can do now! She is a pro a sitting and loves to play with her blocks and shapes. She is growing up way to fast!

Thunder and lighting oh my

We sure had a great time during everyone's visits. My Mom & Dad went home just in time. Monday night we had a HUGE thunderstorm roll in. I guess it rained over 1.5 inches over night. We have also had over 6 inches of rain the month of October. 

When I went down the next morning to walk on the treadmill I was treated to a sloshing sound of water. Water had come in through the window. It turned out that the whole carpet pad was wet all the way into the bedroom on the other side of the house. Here is the window that the water came in and what the floor looked like. . 

Nana Carolyn and Papa Jack

We sure had a fun visit with everyone while they were here. Nana & Pops got to stay an extra day which was really fun. Nana did the girls hair for them in braids. They sure thought that was cool. Thanks for coming to see us!

School papers

Here are some of the school papers that have come home lately. Eliza has turned into quite an artist and Gretta is reading and writing up a storm. I am so impressed with how much she has learned already this year.  Enjoy!

Home Church

While everyone was here for the Notre Dame Football game Eliza was a little bit sick, so she just stayed for Sacrament meeting and then came come with Nana. Eliza LOVE having home church with Nana. She loved conducting, teaching the lesson and doing the music. 

Beautiful day

We had some above average temperatures this month and just had to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather before winter comes.

BYU vs Notre Dame Football Game

The weather cleared up and we had a great time at the game. The Notre Dame Campus is very beautiful and it was very festive. We enjoyed watching the marching band walk into the stadium and walking around campus. It was fun to all be together too. One of the things I miss most about leaving Provo is going to BYU Football games. It was so much fun for everyone to come see us to go to the game.
