Not something you see outside your window everyday!
At first I thought it might be an earthquake and then I realized that this digger was right outside our house!!! Let's just say it's a good thing I have a fence!!!

Roosevelt Fall Festival
The girls new elementary school sponsored a Fall Festival. It was super fun. They had lots of activities, and games for the kids. So far the girls are really enjoying their new school and the transition has gone much better than expected.

Tomato Harvest
My friend Callie Welch gave me a tomato plant at the beginning of the summer. It has been rather neglected. I left it with a friend for 3 weeks while I was in Idaho. So far this is the ONLY tomato we have harvested. It might be the last since it's getting colder now. There are 3 more that might make it.

Eliza's Family Wall and NOT so "Magic" Magic Erasers
Eliza made all of these drawings of the family and put them on the wall. She accidentally colored on the wall with the dry erase marker. I went and go out the magic eraser and it took it right off. She was then explaining to Gretta how amazing the Magic Eraser was at taking stuff off the wall. I told her it won't take Sharpie off. Little did I expect what happened next.
It's hard to see, but Gretta wrote a G on the wall in marker. Not Sharpie, but marker. Luckily it did come off, but it took some work. At least I don't think my 8 and 6 year old are going to color on the walls anytime soon again!

Look What's Coming Next Door
Carli and I have been busily checking the progress everyday of the house going up next door. It's fun to watch it go up, but not so fun to hear all the noise!

First taste of food from a spoon, sitting up and my buddy at home.
Everyone has been sick with a fall cold at our house. Gretta was home on Tuesday and Eliza on Wednesday. Eliza wanted to help me feed the boys in their high chair. I am not a big fan of feeding babies until they are a little older, but Eliza was insistent. She was super disappointing that it didn't go well. She was sure they were going to like apple sauce better than the rice cereal. It went over about as well. I missed the picture of Will eating, so here is a cute picture of him sitting up. They are supported sitters now and growing up too quickly!
Carli is so much fun these day and had to get in on the action.

Back to School Night
Eliza came home with this darling invitation to Back to School Night. While I was at back to school night she left me a cute note on her desk and I also found some of her great art work in the hall. Gretta also left me a note and some art work. The girls both seem to have super nice well qualified teachers. I am so grateful that they have such a good safe school to go to each day.

The Day to Day Life of Carli
I can't believe how much Carli has changed and grown up since the boys were born 6 months ago. Her speech is coming along and she now uses more complex sentence structures and has a lot to say. She wants to keep up with her sisters. She is so sad they go to school without her and even tried to sneek on the bus the other day. She is a delight and so much fun to be around every day. She sure keeps me on my toes. I love you Carli!
She wrapped her doll up in one of the boys blankets and put it under my bed. Needless to say it scared me!
Helping her brother jump.
Doing her work on the computer. No wonder my computer never works like it should!!!

Beautiful September Day
At the gym you can check out bikes and ride on Harbor Shores Trails. I left the kids in child care and checked out a bike, and went for a ride. This is what Jean Kloch looked like. Michigan really does have some beautiful beaches and the best part is they aren't filled to capacity with people. I am going to have to bring my swim suit next time!

The First Day of School- Eliza 1st and Gretta 3rd Grade
Eliza at her desk.
Eliza next to her friend Tessa
Gretta is SUPER lucky and doesn't have to share a locker. She is so excited to have a locker all by herself!
Gretta and Mrs. Rochefort
Gretta at her desk. She wasn't so thrilled I wanted to come into her classroom and take a picture.
Carli even had to get in on the action. Here she is all ready to go to the gym with mom. She loves to carry her backpack too!
