Utah Road Trip:Day 1

There is sure a lot of nothing between Boise and Salt Lake. Miles and miles of nothing!!! After living in Michigan the sight of a dessert in July is such a contrast.
The kids were super good travelers. We stopped once at Wendi Marti's parents house in Declo, population 383, for lunch and to feed the babies and then were back on the road to Salt Lake. We checked into the hotel, had dinner by the pool and swam. It was a lovely night. Oh how I have missed the mountains of Utah. Whitney come over for a visit after dinner. It was fun to see her.

Idaho

One of the best parts of visiting Idaho is Grandpa Huff getting to see the kids. He is so sweet with them and he is the best baby holder in the whole world.

Floating the Boise River

Great grandpa George Huff

The boys has their 4 month well child exams today. They are both doing great. It is so fun to see their personalities developing and gaining new skills every day. They are holding their heads up great and moving arms and legs and wiggling all around. Neither likes tummy time much, but John is doing a good job pushing up.
They are both still good sleepers and eaters. John slept almost 12 hours one night this week and Will had a long stretch too.
They are smiling, laughing and cooing.

John

( they were 4 weeks early so some doctors would adjust them 1 month in the growth curve. Theses stats are not adjusted)
weight 15 lbs 10 oz. 53%

Height 24 inches 10%

Head circumference 17 inches 80%

That's a big Fors head!!!

It's amazing what 300 extra calories a day from rice ceral will do to a kid:) He ha another swallow study scheduled for July 1st to see if he has stopped asperating and I am going to talk with the speech therapist about how we can cut down the amount of extra calories he is getting.

William

Weight  12 lbs 6 oz. 3%

Length 22 3/4 inches. 1%

Head circumference 15 3/4 10%

William has stayed right on his growh curve and is going great even if he looks small next to his brother. The slightly concerning news is that Dr Meadows heard a heart murmur so he is getting refered to a specialist.

They didn't get their shots because they needed to wait a few days for them to be two months apart so they will get them when we get back from Idaho.

Carli had to get in on the action during our photo shoot.
