Let it snow!

Tubing at Five Pines

We finally got a little bit of snow and Eric has been taking the girls sledding at Five Pines on Saturday's. He bought the whole family a season pass for $50 and they have been having so much fun. It is the biggest hill I have seen in Michigan so far. 

Also everyone told me the sun never shines in the winter in Michigan, but once again we are breaking the trend. We have had some beautiful winter days!

Gretta loves every minute of sledding. She is such a dare devil!!!

Things my kids say

I just had to write these down because they were so funny.
Eliza started preschool at First Church after Christmas Vacation. She has really enjoyed her new preschool.
Today at preschool it was pink day at preschool.
This is how our conversation went. Me: "It's pink day at preschool what do you want to wear?"
Eliza: "I want to wear purple."
She wore purple on every color day at preschool. She wears purple almost everyday.

Gretta has been selling Girl Scout Cookies. When I picked her up after her Girl Scout meeting today she told me that they discussed what they wanted to do with the money they raise. This is how our conversation went.
Me: " What do you want to do with all of your cookie money?"
Gretta: "Go to a store that sells both toys and cloths and buy some for kids who don't have any and then take it to them."

Isn't that sweet! She is such a loving and kind child. There is a girl in her class who is gluten free and she always wants to make sure that the snack she takes for class is okay for Ginny.
She has a really big heart! I just love her.

New sunbeam

Eliza is so excited to move up to Primary!!! Here she is all ready for her first day. She has had a love-hate relationship with Nursery. Lets hope the newest sunbeam does great!

She will have her big sister to look out for her now.

Frisbee Golf in Michigan

Everyone keeps telling us what a mild winter we are having here in Michigan. I am not going to complain. I guess last winter was super grey, overcast and also LONG. I guess it snowed everyday in December last year. This year it hasn't snowed to much. In fact the weather was so nice Eric took Gretta Frisbee golfing at Andrews' University. They had a nice time. 

Eric's 31st Birthday

Visiting with Shelley Cannon! I just love Shelley. Shelley and I meet when she was living in Pasadena and we were living in South Pasadena. We both married guys from LaCanada. Tony is a few years older than Eric. Her oldest, Anthon, is the same age as Gretta. We spend a lot of time together when they were little.  She currently lives in Tokyo, but we have been lucky enough to both be in La Canada at the same time. Last time I saw Shelley was in Thailand. Maybe someday we will be luckily enough to live in the same town again.
