4th of July in Wisconsin Dells with the Bartoo's

Rodrigo is interning this summer with 3M in Minnesota. Rod & Allison went to Chicago for the weekend. We happened to meet up on the 90 at the Dells, so they stopped off to join us for dinner at McDonalds. What a fun surprise! Allison is going to come visit us in a few weeks her in St. Joe's. It was fun to see both of them just one week after Darron & Allison's wedding. Who would have thought last year that this year we would be driving around the mid-west.

Then we headed to Glacier Canyon Resort in the Wilderness Territories Resort to meet up with the Bartoo's. The Condo was nice and the place is HUGE! There are 4 indoor and 4 outdoor water parks. We didn't even make it to all of them. Gretta was in HEAVEN. She loved every min of it. The girls especially liked seeing their cousin Jackson too,

In Klondike Kave with 1, 000 gallons of water coming down on them.

Waiting for the duck race in the morning.

Here they come. Jackson won on Sunday and Monday.

waiting for our covered wagon ride.

Enjoying our wagon ride.

Jackson enjoying his first experience with corn on the cob.

Ready for the fireworks.
We stopped by the play place before. It was like Jumping Jamming in Arcadia. The girls had a great time!

The resort was like a cruise ship it had tons to do!

waiting for the fireworks. Each resort has their own firework show. Aren't the little kid chairs so cute!

Then is started to rain!

Even with rain the fireworks were still fun!

Monday before we left Eric took the girls to one more wave pool.

What a great weekend!

Wisconsin Dells via Chicago Temple

On the way to the Wisconsin Dells we stopped at the Chicago Temple. Eric took the girls to the Kohl's Children Museum that is about 10 mins from the Temple while I went to the Temple and then we switched. It worked out well for everyone. The best part was our pass from our Kids Museum got us into the Kohl's museum for free!

It was a really nice and big museum. The girls sure had a fun time and Eric and I were happy to go to the Temple.

Hot Diggity Dogs! Bow Wow! in St. Joseph's

Raining Cats & Dogs

Every summer in St. Joe's there is a summer art project. Different businesses donate the pieces of art work and then they are auctioned off at the end of the summer. Past summers have been carousel horses, bears, cars and boats. This summer it is Hot Diggity dogs!
There are 34 dogs. Eliza's favorite is Robo Dog. Gretta likes Doggie Bag. We walk around town every night and visit the dogs.

A fun week in St. Joe's.

We got back from California late Sunday night. The girls and I have had a great week going to the beach and relaxing. Monday we spent the day recovering and went to the library. Tuesday is ward beach day, so we meet up with some girls from the ward at the beach. The girls love having other kids to play with.

The dug big hole in the sand.
Wednesday we went to the Kid's Museum.  They had a live Animal Show. Eliza LOVED the animals. She was so excited to touch all of them. Gretta on the other hand only wanted to see them. Eliza touched a frog, toad, salamander, snake,  and turtle. The show was great and it was fun to see Eliza so excited.

Then we got some hot dogs downtown.

Last night Gretta moved her bed right to the door. I had to move her back to get Eliza up this morning and she slept through the whole thing.

Today we went to the beach again. The beach never gets old.

Tonight we went to "Toy Story 3".We had a great time. Eliza even sat through the whole movie. The movie theater is in Colma. It is only $5.50 for a full price ticket. Plus they have a popcorn bucket for $2.00 and on Thursdays you get to bring your bucket from home for free popcorn.
After the movie we went and played at this park just down the street. It was a fun night!
Tomorrow we head to Chicago and then on to the Dells, Wisconsin to meet up with Anna & her family. We are sure having a magical summer! It is so much fun to live at the beach for the whole summer. I am enjoying every minute of it.
