Taking time to smell the roses

I brought home some of the flowers from Maddi's shower. The girls love flowers and wanted to have their picture taken.

Gretta's art show

Gretta has been taking art class once a week taught by one of the other MBA Spouse, Tressa Fisher, along with some other MBA students kids. She has really enjoyed art. I know I am her mom, but I think she is very talented.
Tonight Tressa Fisher hosted an art show to showcase the students art. Gretta has been so excited about her art show. She has been talking about it for weeks.

General Conference Snowman

Sunday night we decided to make the most of the snow and Eric helped the girls make a snowman.

They were so proud! Then we had hot chocolate inside which I think was the favorite part!:)

Nana's Visit

Nana Carolyn came to visit for a few days. We sure enjoyed her visit. She spoiled the girls rotten and they loved every minute of it. Here they are making cookies.
Making forts in the backyard.
Plus Nana's clubhouse!

Playing games and having a PJ party.
Nana spoiled Eric and I by watching the girls all Saturday morning so we could go to the Saturday AM session of Conference at the Conference Center. It was wonderful!Saturday the weather was very spring like then on Sunday when we woke up to take Nana to the airport this is what it looked like outside! Crazy!!!

Thanks Nana for such a great visit!

More Conference Photos

All 22,000 people all ready to watch conference
Eric took this picture on his phone and I can't figure out how to turn it right side up.

Saturday Morning General Conference

Our friends from MBA school, Mike & Elizabeth Christensen, see here had some extra tickets to Conference. Actually Mike's Dad who is in charge of HR for the Church had some extra tickets and was nice enough to invite us.
Eric took this picture from his phone. It shows how close we were. We were in the 11th row!
It is always so wonderful to be able to see the Prophet and Apostles in person. The Spirit was very strong and I felt very uplifted. I really liked Elder Cooks talk here

Elizabeth, Mike, Gretchen & Eric
Sunday after we dropped Nana off at the airport we drove the kids by the Conference Center. Even with the snow there were tons of people getting ready to go inside and others waiting for stand by tickets. It was a powerful testimony to them of the importance of watching Conference even if it is on the computer.
Also Elizabeth and Mike are moving to Kalamazoo, MI and will be about 45 mins from us. We are so excited to be their friends for a long time! Eliza goes to preschool with Reid and Tanner and I made the friendship quilt with Elizabeth. They have become great friends and we look forward to continuing that friendship for years to come!
