Tisha and Curteis were some of our best friends in South Pasadena California. We moved to California about the same time and lived in the same ward. Eric had seen Curteis at church but had never spoken to him. Then one day outside the Union Bank building he saw Curteis eating his brown bag lunch. He went over to talk to him and the rest is a great story of friendship! Tisha and I served as Laurel Advisers together. Plus our oldest children were only a few months apart. We became fast friends. We spent hours together as couples too. They would bring their pack n play over and set it up at our house and while Adley and Gretta slept we would play games.
They moved to North Carolina shortly after Ani was born. We were so sad. We are still so sad they live so far away. It was such a fun surprise for them to stop by and see us on their cross country trip.

We had a great time and it made us wish they lived closer!!!
We did all of our favorite Michigan things... go to the beach, the guys took the kids golfing, and then to downtown for ice cream at Kilwin's. While the kids and dads were golfing, they encountered a torrential downpour wherein all of their clothing and golf equipment got completely soaked. But, a day on the course is always better than a day at the office, even if it's a wet one! We wish their visit was longer, and hope it isn't another 5 years before we see them again:)
