Crib Tent and Photo's by Gretta

This is another photo by Gretta. She is getting better. At least you can see Eliza's face even if it is a little blurry. Gretta took a great pictures of Eric.

This is our newest "Craigs list" purchase. It's the Crib Tent II. I think most of the time people use these to keep kids in their cribs, but we bought it to keep Gretta out of the crib. It has worked pretty successfully, but we have to safety pin it shut because she can unzip the whole thing. She is one smart girl. Eliza also doesn't seem to mind it. The girls are now successfully sleeping in their room together. The only sleep problem of late is that Gretta is waking up at night and coming into our room. I wish they had a" bed tent" for her. Oh well.

Gretta's 3rd year well check up

Gretta had her 3 year old well check this last week. Better late than never. Here are her stats...

Height 38 3/4 inches 90%percentile
Weight 34lbs 90%percentile
blood pressure 93/48
pulse 102

I am not sure how a kid who you can see ever rib because she is so skinny is in the 90% for weight, but I guess at least she is proportional.

The 3 year old well check has no shots. Yeah!!! She did however have to get some blood drawn to see if she is anemic. She has been pale lately, and due to her high dairy diet he wanted to rule it out.
I had Eric take her on Saturday because my pediatrician insisted that it be drawn at the hospital, and it always takes so long to get it done. They waited 45+ minutes on Saturday. I just couldn't get up enough energy to get us to the hospital knowing I would have to wait at least 45 minutes with 2 kids. The report was that Gretta was very brave. Thanks Eric for taking her!

Disneyland with the Walkers

We meet on of my best friends from High School, David Walker, at Disneyland. He and his wife Shantelle brought their two oldest boys to Disneyland for a few days. We meet them for a night and had a great time. Gretta especially enjoyed going on Space Mountain with her Daddy.
It was also fun to catch up with Shantelle and Dave.

Rose Parade and Fors Family Christmas

I love the Rose Parade. We came down to the Rose Parade when I was a kids and my grandparents lived in Pasadena. Until you see the floats up close it is hard to really appreciate how beautiful they are or how much work goes into making them.
I think we been every year since we have been married. Well the year that Gretta was born, only my Mom, Dad and Eric went, and they got poured on. So I am glad I took that year off.
This year it was a picture perfect day in Pasadena.
All of use waiting for the first float to come down Colorado Blvd.
Eliza awaiting her first Rose Parade.

Happy 2009

Merry Christmas From the Fors 2008

Dearest Friends and Family,

The most important news of 2008 is that we welcomed Eliza Anne Fors into our home on April 17, 2008. She weighted 7lbs and measured 21 inches long. Eliza is a very happy healthy and easy going baby. She enjoys laughing at her sister and is busy trying to figure out how to crawl. She is also growing like a weed.

Gretta has blossomed into a beautiful young 3 year old. She loves playing with her friends, going to dance class (she even has a tutu and dance slippers!), seeing her friends Micky Mouse, Snow White, Cinderella, and Ariel at Disneyland, and going to her preschool 2 days a week. We had a magical time celebrating Gretta's 3rd birthday at Disneyland.

Gretchen keeps getting better and better thought out the years I've known her. She does an outstanding job keeping our girls entertained, educated and healthy. She still works one day a week at City of Hope as a nurse practitioner. Gretchen still misses teaching the young women at church. However, she is getting excited about her church calling to work on humanitarian projects in our area. She has also enjoyed staying connected with all of her friends via Facebook and becoming quite the blogger! That has been a blessing as we've finally found a way that is entertaining and manageable in keeping a record of our family's coming and goings.

Eric is in the process of hearing back from MBA schools, some local/some national. You'll just have to contact him sometime in March of next year to get the results or just wait until the 2009 Christmas card- your choice! He continues to enjoy what the does at Bank of America, helping provide financing to several aerospace and defense companies and commercial finances companies, Eric is the Young Men's leader at our church. He enjoys working with the teenage boys.

We hope you have enjoyed 2008, and hope that 2009 will bring all of us even bigger and brighter realized hopes and dreams. We hope that this season of the year helps bring a renewed faith in the Savior of the World.

Merry Christmas,
Eric, Gretchen, Gretta and Eliza Fors
