This is the last time I leave my keys in the car

This is one of those stories that is funnier to write about now than was to live through!!! We were getting ready to leave. I put one baby in the car and left my car keys on the passenger side seat with my purse. I went back to get the other baby and Carli. I couldn't find Carli anywhere. I looked all over the house in a panic. She wasn't anywhere to be found. Then I realized she must have slipped past me and gone outside. Once I stepped in the garage with the other baby I realized she was in the car in the drivers seat. Then I realized she had locked the door and had the keys. We only have 2 keys. Eric has one and I have the other. I spent the next few minutes trying to get her to unlock the car door so I could get in while she tried to get the keys in the ignition. NOT FUN! She thought it was funny when she pushed the lock button that the horn honked. She finally set off the alarm and that made her scared and she open the door for me. I learned my lesson. Never to put the keys in the car. I will keep them with me from now on!

Blossomtime

Gretta, Eliza and I went to the Bloosomtime Parade on Saturday. What is missing in big cities is the feeling you get from participating in a home town parade. I sure do miss the Rose Parade, but it's not the same feeling of home town pride or patriotism you feel in a small town. The girls enjoyed waving their American Flags, saluting the WWII Vets who rode on a float, and watching the Shriners drive their go-karts down the street. What's going to happen in American when all of the Shriners, Lions, and Kiwanis clubs die off because our generation is to "me" focused to join service organizations? 

The highlights of course is the High School Marching bands and the Blossomtime Queens and Princesses. 

We had a great time. 

Paper Chain Count Down to Summer Vacation

Getting Eliza to go to school this whole year has been a challenge. It's not getting any easier with summer vacation just around the corner. Nana sent the girls strips of paper to make a paper chain to count down the days. Thanks Nana! 23 days and counting.

Getting bigger everyday!

Poor William

I have never had a child who spits up and I have one who has a  MAJOR problem with spitting up. Here is some proof! What you can't see it is is also down the sofa cushion. Poor kid! I think this was his worst episode yet. He had already filled the burp cloth too. How he manages to grow after throwing up his lunch is a mystery. A few of our other kids survive on air too. 

The good news is that he doesn't have any swallowing problems like his brother. 

Eliza Hanging Out at Home

Eliza was sick the first three days of the week and then pretended to be sick the last 2 so she could stay home. She is super jealous that Carli gets to stay home with me all day. Eliza wishes she didn't have to go to school. It's the craziest things. She throws a big fit about going every morning, but then once she is at school is't like a light bulb that switches and she is happy at school and has a good time. When ever I talk with her teacher about how much she tells us she hates school she is shocked. I am not sure what's really up. I sure hope next year she goes more willingly and that this isn't a pattern that is going to continue for a long time. She had a fun time hanging out, but even got bored the last few days and told me I wasn't much fun at home anymore. On the other hand I enjoyed having Eliza home too. She is a big help with Carli and the babies. We are all counting down the days until summer vacation. 

Thanks Grandma

Grandma Linda spent a few days in Utah for Women's Conference and sent us a fun care package. The girls LOVE to get mail especially if it has clothes inside:)  Here are Carli and Gretta modeling part of their haul. We love the BYU shirts!!!Go Cougars!!! Plus she sent some clothes for each child and it's amazing how well she knows each of their preference. I don't have pictures, but Eliza love her purple soft pants and Gretta likes hers too.
