DIY Car Care

The Infinite needed new breaks. Eric asked around to a couple of the other BYA students to find a good place to get them done. One of the guys, Brandon Wells, told Eric he could help him do it him self. So Eric went to the Auto Parts store an bought new break pads. Brandon came over and they successfully changed the breaks on the Infinite.
Way to go guys!!!

Jump on It

Today was Mommy and Me at a "Jump on it". It is located in a big warehouse and has row after row of trampolines, and some bounce houses. Plus a play area for toddlers. It was our first time going and I am sure we we go back. Everyone had a great time. It was fun to see Eliza get adventurous enough to try jumping and then really like it. Gretta has always loved to jump up and down, even as a baby. Plus we met meet up with some other friends from MBA school. Gretta always loves to have a friend to play with.
It was a super fun morning!!!

FHE Bowling

We took the girls bowling at BYU tonight for FHE. I wasn't sure how it was going to go over, but it was a huge success. Mostly because they have bumper bowling, and also this contraption you see in some of the picture where you put the ball at the top of the ramp and push it down. Even Eliza could do it, and she got a strike!!!
We will have to do this again some time soon. Or I guess we are getting ready to live in Michigan. The town has a huge bowling alley.

This week...

We had a fun week in Provo. Spring is coming, but it is teasing us a bit. Some days have been warm and then yesterday was a winter blizzard. Some of our bulbs are trying to come up too.
The girls have been a lot of fun lately. They are growing up so fast.
Sunday March 14th

Tonight after a nice dinner with Darron, Allison and Brittany we went on a walk/bike ride. Gretta is getting pretty good at riding her bike. It was a lovely evening considering that it snowed yesterday.

Saturday, March 13th

We celebrated Bryant's 3rd Birthday. First we went to the aquarium with Bryant, Chris and Amanda. Then we went back to their house for cake and ice cream.
Isn't the cake Amanda and Chris made amazing!
Tuesday, March 9th

Morning reading with Eliza. Eliza has really enjoyed reading books together.
Monday, March 8th

Gretta had to find the right blankie in the mix. Glad she found the right one!

P.E. day with the MBASA girls. It was a fun activity. I wish I could have gotten a picture of Eliza with the hula hop facing forward. It was so cute.

Michigan here we come!

Whirlpool flew us out to Michigan to look around, meet some people, and find a place to live for the summer. Eric flew out a day early and spent Thursday night and Friday with a group of the summer interns looking around the city, and meeting people at Whirlpool. I had to work Thursday, but was lucky enough to get Friday off so I could go. Also my mom was very generous and watched the girls so we could go. (She spent 12 hours in the SLC airport on her way home to Boise. Isn't that horrible!)Thanks mom so much for coming!

Eric and I had a great time in St. Joseph's/ Benton Harbor Michigan. Friday night we went to a nice Chinese food restaurant, and I got to practice some Cantonese. I actually heard a group of teenagers girls speaking Cantonese at Wal mart too, so maybe there is an Asian population in the area. Then we went to the Chocolate Cafe for some hot chocolate. They don't have a coffee shop downtown only the Chocolate Cafe. Of course the serve coffee too, but it make me happy they serve so much chocolate!!!

Saturday Eric took me on a little tour of the area. Then we looked at some places for the summer. Luckily some the girls in the ward hooked us up with the place they rented before. It was by far the best option and the cheapest. It has been a bit rough because it is a summer vacation destination and most people wanted $2,000 dollars a month for a place.
Saturday afternoon Terry and Robyn Malone showed us around the area. I finally found out where all of the shopping was located, and they took us by the church and to look at some houses. Then hosted a BBQ for us and some other families who are in the ward. One of the husbands is a NP in the area and the other couple are both BYU MBA grads. They moved out 2 years ago. It was fun to meet some people.

Today we went to church in the morning and then flew home this afternoon.
The ward meets in a brand new building that they have only been in for 6 months. They have so many kids they have to hold opening exercises for the primary in the chapel. That's great! Lots of kids for my kids to be friends with.

We had a great trip. Thanks to all of those that made it happen.
Come visit us this summer! You are all welcome.

Silver Beach

Don't see this to often in California??? Snow on the beach!

We are going to live in the upstairs unit of this house for the summer. Isn't it cute? Reminds me of the Meringue House. Plus it is only 2 short blocks from the library, Children's Mueam, beach and Chocolate Cafe. Yeah!!!

Gateway Museum with my Mom

We went and picked up Nana at the airport. On the way to the airport we were going to stop at the Gateway Museum, but we stopped at Ikea instead. Gretta played in the kids daycare while Eliza and I looked around the store. I still thought we had time to go to the Gateway, but just as we arrived my mom called to say she had landed. So we went and picked her up and came back. We were only going to stay 30 mins, but ended up staying 3 hours!!! We had a great time!
