Bike Riding at the Santa Monica with the Fors

Good bye Brittany!!! This picture was taken just before Brittany left for the airport. This might be the only time this summer that we are all together. Here is the whole gang.
Darron, Eliza, Eric, Papa, Gretta Gretchen, Brittany, Linda, Dennis, Allison and Rod.

Saturday morning we all went to the Dragon Faire and then in the afternoon we went Bike riding at Santa Monica. The first bike shop wouldn't rent us trailers because he said it was too windy. Maybe we should have believed him. We ended up going further down the pier and renting one trailer and one bike with a kid seat. I took Gretta on the bike with the seat and Eric pulled Eliza. On the way back Gretta wanted to be in the trailer too. It was really WINDY. They got sand blown in on them and it was really hard for Eric to pull the trailer. It is a good thing he goes to spin class. It was quite the adventure. We are glad we all lived through it. Rod's wheel broke too, so he also had a tough time getting the bike back.

Rod's sister Christina also came with us.

Dragon Faire

This weekend was the yearly fundraiser at Gretta preschool called the Dragon Faire. It is a big production. They have games, rides and stuff for the kids to do. They also sell food. The In-Out Truck came this year too. Plus they have a silent auction for the parents.
The whole Fors family came. It was a lot of fun. Gretta really enjoyed herself and especially enjoyed that the whole family came.

Disneyland with Aunt Brittany

Aunt Brittany was home from BYU for a few days. She came to Disneyland with us on April 24th. We sure had a fun time. Gretta was so excited because she finally had someone to ride all of the big rides with.

Gretta loves Pooh!
Gretta went on Splash Mountain for the first time. I waiting on the bridge so patiently to snap the perfect picture of her going down the water fall. Once I saw them I snapped the picture. What I didn't realize was this guys head was in the way!!! Arugh. Oh well. You can't really see who is in the log any way. She had a great time.

Eliza 12 month check up

Eliza had her 12 month check up this week. Here are her stats:

Height 30.5 inches.......................92%
Weight 23.5oz...............................88%
Head Circumference 46 cm........75%

Poor kid had to get her MMR, Variclla and HIb plus a TB test today. She took them all in stride.


Eliza is.....
1. a busy walker. She took her first steps on Easter Sunday and now she is really walking. She loves to show off her new moves.
2. become a very picky eater. When she is done with something she throws it off her high chair tray. She also had a good idea of what she wants to eat and if you don't provide it she just throws what you gave her off the high chair. She tends to prefer meat. Chicken, steak, and black beans. Weird I know. (Needles to say it is a good thing we have plastic mat under her high chair.)
3. using a sippy cup. She throws her head back to make it work.
4. still has 8 teeth,4 on top and 4 on the bottom, and is trying to get her one year molars.
5. really wants to talk, but can only say Mama, Dada, Uh-Oh and some words that sound like Gretta and Grandma. She sometimes can mimic really well, but doesn't have many new words. She also grunts, cries, laughs and makes other vocalizations to get her point across.
6. loves to laugh and thinks she is really funny.
7. loves to splash in the bath.
8. loves to steal her sisters blanket and then give it back to her.
9. her favorite toy these days is a toy hammer. She loves to carry it around.
10. is really showing off her fun personality lately!!! She has really come into her own lately. Now that she can walk nothing is slowing her down. She loves to explore.
