Greetings from the winter wonderland of Provo, Utah! We love
our 2nd go-around at BYU! To show you how ill prepared we California
transplants are, it dumped snow on us the last two nights and I figured I had
two options: (1) go to our next door neighbor and ask to borrow his snow shovel
or (2) use our leaf rake as a makeshift shovel. I think odds makers are giving
us a 50/50 chance of making it through this winter.
2009 Year in Review:
Gretchen – Enjoying her time working two days a week at the
BYU Student Health Center as a nurse practitioner and serving as our ward’s Primary
Secretary
Eric – Keeping his head above water and about to complete
his 1st semester in BYU’s MBA Program. He has been out to visit
several companies in search of a finance related internship for this coming
summer. Humorously, he was in San Francisco last week meeting with companies
and randomly was on the same AirBART shuttle bus as his dad. What are the
chances?
Gretta (4) – Loves going to two-day a week preschool at
Kid’s Village. I was sold when we went to Parent’s Day and they had fresh baked
cookies and milk. Gretta is also
enjoying BYU dance class, her Sunbeams class and having a backyard and
playroom.
Eliza (18 mo.) – Learning her words like “stuck, baba, dada,
mama and allowance.” She enjoys standing up in her high chair and running to
mommy or daddy whenever they come home from work or school. And on April 17,
2009, Gretchen and Eric celebrated as Eliza entered Nursery!
We are grateful for friends who make the hard times bearable
and the good times great. May we always keep God as the center of our
lives!
Merry Christmas!!
Eric, Gretchen, Gretta & Eliza Fors
