Brittany's Mission Call

Brittany will be going to the Mesa Arizona Mission. She will be serving in the Temple visitor center and also speak Spanish. She enters the MTC on July 13th.

Discovery Gateway

 We went to the Discovery Gateway with Amanda, Bryant and Grant while we waited for my mom to come on Wed. Gretta was at a playdate with a friend. We had a fun time! Eliza liked all of the one on one attention.

Gretta's Quilt

Millicent made Eliza a pink quilt out of minke fabric when she was born. Gretta has been begging me to make one for her. Millicent gave me the pattern and helped me pick out the fabric and I finished the quilt last night. Minke fabric is a little hard to work with because it stretches and rolls. Plus is sheds all over. Luckily it turned out okay. I am not sure I am going to try sewing anything out of Minke for  along time.

Gretta can't wait for it to be all done now.

Jimmer mania!!!

We were so excited that BYU made it to the Sweet 16. On Tuesday they started selling "Sweet 16" shirts at the BYU Bookstore. We walked up Tuesday night to check them out. They didn't have any in the girls sizes and Eric wanted to wait to see if they would get into the Elight Eight or Final Four before buying at "Sweet 16" shirt. BYU hasn't made it to the Sweet 16 since the year Eric was born! 

We did buy the girls a poster and when I came home from work on Thursday this is what I found....

I guess we know who high Gretta ranks BYU Basketball. 

Thursday night we watched the game with fellow MBA students in the MBA lounge. We sure had fun until they lost! Oh well. It was sure a great season. What a fun year to be at BYU and get to participate in Jimmer Mania. 

PS. I think Gretta has a crush on Jimmer. She told me that he is her favorite, and then today made me write down this song she made up so she could give it to Conner at preschool. After I wrote it down she put a big heart on it. Do you think her crush is on Conner or Jimmer???

Boise March 2011

 After skiing we went to Yang Chang for dinner. My kid love Chinese food.

Then after dinner they had to put on a show for Nana & Papa. They sang and danced.

Next Gretta and Eliza had to take turns taking pictures with the camera.

Sunday after church Pops tried to take their pictures, but this is what he got.

We sure had a fun weekend!!!

The drive up and back was really rainy, so we are glad we made it safe and sound!

Gretta & Eliza's first time skiing!!!

 We drove up to Boise on Friday afternoon to get some of my stuff from the house. (That actually didn't turn out so well. It would take me at least a week to go through everything. I did clean out one closet and made a little bit or progress. It reminds me that I don't need so much STUFF in my life.)

While in Boise we sure had a lot of fun!!! Saturday morning we loaded up the mini van with all of our ski stuff and headed to Bogus Basin. We stopped at Greenwoods to get skis, boots and helmets for the girls. Their stuff was so cute and little.

 Eliza and Nana getting on the magic carpet. The magic carpet is AMAZING!!!! Who ever invented it is a genius. It is so much easier than the rope tow. I remember standing then trying to get the guts to hold on the to the  rope tow as a little child because of what a kick it gave as you grabbed on. It also ruined more than a pair of gloves.

Nana & Pops took Gretta on the beginner lift at least 7 times while Eliza enjoyed some french fries in the lodge. Gretta really did great! I think that 2 just is a little young to start. Hopefully next time Eliza will get the hang of it. At least she had a fun time and wants to go again!!!

Thanks Nana & Pops! I know I couldn't have done it without you. 

Orrin Hatch and Mark Zuckerberg- BYU Forum

 Orrin Hatch and Mark Zuckerberg came to BYU on Friday. I was at work, so Eric took the girls to see them. The Marriott Center was pretty full. Eric said over 10,000 people came to hear them. I am not sure the girls realized what a big deal it was. Gretta got a little bored and started taking pictures of herself.
