American Girl Doll Beds

For Christmas my Mom & Dad gave the girls American Girl Doll Beds. Well they couldn't give them to them at Christmas because there would have been no way to bring them to Brazil and back home, so my Mom told them she would buy them. For the last 2 months the girls have been looking in the catalog and debating which bed they were going to get. At first Eliza was going to get the trundle bed and Gretta was going to get the Julie bed, but in the end Eliza got the Julie Bed and Gretta got the Trundle. When they got home from the store on Saturday they could hardly wait to open and put together the beds. Gretta's came pre-assembled, but Eric had to put Eliza's together for her. Gretta even got in on the action.
The girls have been so excited about using them.
Thanks again Nana & Pops!!!

Dennis and Linda also gave the girls $100 to use at the American Girl Doll Store. Linda was lucky enough to get to go with them to the Store in Chicago and have brunch before her flight on Saturday. My mom was sad she missed out on all of the fun and the magic of brunch with their dolls at the store. The girls also debated for the last 2 months what to get with their money and I though they had decided to get pet beds & pet carriers. I guess Gretta had a bit of left over money and decided to get a doll chair and also give some money to Eliza so she could get what she wanted. Eliza was the big spender. Eliza saw some purple PJs and fell in love them so she came home with  purple PJs for herself and her doll complete with high heal slippers. She talked Grandma Linda into given her the doll chair and pet carrier for her birthday in April. She's a pretty good negotiator, or Linda has a hard time saying, "No". I am not sure because I wasn't there.
It was a magical morning for the girls. Gretta said it was so much fun to have Christmas in February. Truthfully they didn't get very many presents while we were in Brazil, and Santa only brought beach stuff, so it was fun for them to finally get their Christmas Presents.
