We spent the whole day at the beach! It was supper crowed, but we still had a great time. The water as warm and we rented a boggie board and some chairs. We left our beach chairs in Provo and I have really missed them this summer.
Eliza LOVES the beach! She just loves to feel the sand on her feet.
All set up for the day. Eliza lounging in her chair.
Gretta is on the boogie board.
I only got a picture with 3 boats anchored by shore. By the end of the day there were at least 20 boat all anchored by shore. They were lined up to watch the fireworks. I haven't ever seen so many boat on the lake.
Gretta caught a few waves and rode them all the way into shore. Eric was so proud! She is a water dog.
They had a sand castle competition at the beach. Here are some the entries.
After dinner at home and naps for the girls we headed back to watch the sunset, catch a few bands, watch the lighted boat parade, and wait for the fireworks. (See all of the boats in the water.)
One of the boat in the boat parade.
The girls waiting for the fireworks. They shoot the fireworks off the pier over lake Michigan. It was a great show with music in the background.
Sunday we went to church and then took Emily to the airport. We sure had a great visit. We were all sad to see her go.
Then we picked up Aunt Allison at the airport. The fun train in Michigan never stops!
