Fors Family Vacation in Yosemite

We flew to the Fresno/Yosemite airport on Friday and Dennis and Linda picked us up in the MPV. The girls were so excited to be back in California. We then headed up to Yosemite. We stayed in Wawona inside the park at a house owned by some friends of our in South Pasadena.

Saturday we got up and went on a Yosemite Valley Tour.

From Lookout point. My point and shoot doesn't do it justice. You can see El Captain in the background and have dome is under the cloud.

Bridal Veil Falls. ***Warning*** If it looks like this don't even think about walking closer to the falls. We did and even with ponchos got wet. Luckily my feet didn't stay wet for long.

Then we hiked the first .8 miles of the Half dome hike. Everyone was so nice to help push Gretta and Eliza up the hill!

Saturday night we went home and had dinner. It was so nice to be inside. It rained all night Saturday and most of Sunday. I felt so bad for those people who were camping. It was a cold wet weekend. We we were okay because we had a nice warm house.

Sunday we went to church in the morning and then in the afternoon we went to Mariposa Grove.
The Giant Grizzle Tree
(The branch on the right side is 7 feet in diameter, and can you see the freshly fallen snow!!!!
 Doesn't she look cozy!!!

Wawona Hotel

Followed by games at home

Monday we started out the day with a bike ride

Then we took the Valley Floor tour. The girls loved the Tram.

Monday night we took family pictures. I don't have the whole family because Brittany took all of the whole family pictures. This is actually true of the whole weekend. Hopefully I will get some of them soon to post.

Then Dennis, Eric and Rod stayed to hit some golf balls on the Wawona golf course and saw all of these deer.

Thanks Dennis & Linda for such a fun family weekend.
