Disneyland with Dad

Veteran's Day:
Today, Gretta and I embarked on a magical adventure to the Magic Kingdom. Gretchen had to work so I took the opportunity to enjoy some quality one on one time with Gretta at Disneyland. (Thanks to Mom and Dad for watching Eliza throughout the day!!!)
We set off for our adventure in very stylish clothes - although to the untrained eye it might look like Gretta is wearing a bright pink hat with a leopard print outfit, in reality, this is all the rage in European fashion. So look at USA, here comes Pink and Leopard 2009!!
Just about ready to leave.

Our first stop was a beeline down Mainstreet USA to the Castle. And it was wall to wall strollers and kiddies. We hit the Carousel, then Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and then off to a place I'd never been....

The Princess Faire!!! Boy, was this an experience. Fathers, under no circumstance should you let your daughters within 300 feet of this amphitheatre - heavy indebtedness will occur. It was a cute little production where they presented the princesses and engaged the kids in activities. Very fun. Something I wouldn't have otherwise done had it been more than just me and Gretta.

Then we headed over to Town Town and got our pick with the Goofmeister and Minnie. The gobs of people waiting for photo ops was crazy.

The man, the myth, the legend. Very few people in the world have not heard of MICKIE MOUSE.

Over to Pirate's Lair Island (formerly known as Tom Sawyer Island for you purists). This was a lot of fun. I'd never actually been on the island, only sailed around it. They had a lot of cave passageways and things to climb on.

Daddy's Retirement Plan!!

She's got a ticket to ride. She's got a ticket to ri-i-i-de.

Disneyland truly is the happiest (and busiest) place on Earth. For those who say they've done the Disneyland thing. Go with a 3-4 year old and it will be like going again for the first time. The excitement these kids have is contagious. It joyfully becomes the Happiest Place on Earth.
Thanks Gretta for a wonderful Daddy/Daughter date!!
