The 1 hour and 45+ min Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

The repairman was suppose to come and fix the oven today at noon but by 1:30 I gave up on him and took my nap. Eric called and said he wrote down the day wrong, so he is going to come tomorrow. In an attempt to make sure that it's really the oven and not me, the girls and I made chocolate chip cookies.  But we decided to make the pan cookie recipe instead because it would be easier to bake one large pan that multiple batches of cookies tonight while I was also trying to make dinner.
Eliza and I made the cookies and put them in the oven around 6:30. I started the oven at 255 c to let it get good and warm and pre-heat. 255 c is like 500 F.
The pilot light stayed on and everything seemed okay. Then I lowered the temperature to what was suppose to be around 205 C which is about 415 F. That's when the oven became iffy!
I was suppose to bake them at 375 F for 20 mins. But to lower the temperature to 190 C which is 375 F it never stays on!

1 hour and 45 mins later after the oven went off at least 5 times during the cooking they were finally done. I had to put the girls to bed without any cookies which wasn't very easy. Plus they end up staying up later than I wanted because they were waiting. Ugh! Luckily it was just cookies and not dinner this time! I used my trusty crock pot for dinner.
I can't wait for the oven to get fixed!

Also Emma, Eliza's friend, facetimed her which made the waiting go by faster:)

Here is the cookie recipe that that shows it was only suppose to take 25 mins.

Still on

Then off

On for a while and then off at least 5 times!!!!

The final product! Just in time for Eric to get home at 8:30
