Eliza's First Lost Tooth

Eliza has had loose tooth for a few days, but has refused to let me help her pull it out because she didn't want to lose it in Brazil. Her kindergarten teacher at home gives the kids cute treasure boxes on a necklaces to put the tooth in when they lose it at school. Eliza was convinced if she could hold off long enough she could lose the tooth at home and get her treasure box. She didn't quite understand when I told her it wouldn't make it that long. Well it at least waited long enough for Grandma and Grandpa to get here. They were at the Science Museum having lunch when it turned sideways. Eric was able to convince her he could pull it out.
They put it in a water bottle to keep it safe until they got home. When she got home she told me she didn't want to put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy because she didn't want Brazilian money and she didn't want the tooth fairy to take her tooth. So we wrote the tooth fairy a note and asked her to leave US money, and put the tooth under my pillow. She also drew the tooth fairy a picture.
She was so sad the next morning even though she got $1 dollar (which I think is more than Gretta has even gotten) and 1 Brazilian Real because the tooth fairy forgot to take the picture she drew. Luckily I ended up with the tooth which made her happy.
Eliza is grown up!
